If I were a sign post what kind of sign would I want to be? Would I be a mile marker, a directional sign, pointing “this way!” Would I be or make a statement, proclaiming something? Would I tell you how much farther you have untill you reach your destination? Would I or could I tell you the destination and how far and how many obstacles or potholes there might be a long the way? And if I were that kind of sign, then might I be too big, too long, too full of words for you to slow down and read it anyway? What about a STOP sign? Or ONE WAY? And what if I were a sign and you chose to ignore me anyway? What if in life God did place people in our paths to be the sign posts along the way? And if I were a sign, the only kind of sign I’d want to be is one where you’d see Him instead of me, because then I’d be a mirror; reflecting.
Tell me… how many mirrors have you seen while driving?

nicely written, thoughtful! Loved it

I for one am a firm believer that God does move people in & out of our lives for a season or a reason.
Whenever a Christian is placed into someone’s life I believe that how they conduct them self is so very important. By being in relationship with Christ it’s His personality, His light that shines through in our lives; expressing or “showing signs” of Himself through us, to others, not our sinful nature taking center stage.
I know that the one sign that I don’t want to be is the one that reads: WRONG WAY
Grace and peace.
Me too, Christopher. I don’t ever want to be that WRONG WAY sign either. Thanks for stopping by!

Hey Jen – Thought I’d stop in and say ‘hi.’ Just thinking today about being a ’sign,’ and I don’t think I’d mind being a wrong way sign. In fact, I wish I informed people more often that they’re going the wrong way. Unfortunately, too often I just mind my own business and let them head down the thoroughfare toward destruction.
