I think I also heard it said once by a pastor of mine (who knows how many eons ago) that, that's how long it took to get the Egypt out of their hearts and heads. On the topic of Israel’s 40 year wilderness experience… would have to agree. I think I also heard it said once by a pastor of mine (who knows how many eons ago) that, that’s how long it took to get the Egypt out of their hearts and heads. Or, what I like to call a very long “sandpaper” experience – ouch!

Maybe it's just moments, or long periods of drought actually, that something will happen where if feels like God's trying to get my attention. Whether that's through His Word or something that I'll come across and usually it's several things combined, where I'll go, "Lord, I think you're trying to tell me something here." Like the Holy Spirit's jumping up and down, "hey, look at this!" because there's an area of my life that He wants to move in, or point me in a new direction, or more often times than not, upheave. I don't know. Those moments are far and few between and like you said, most things we blindly walk through and really can't see or understand it until it's behind us. I think even when God is actively moving, which He always is, even if we sense it often times we really can't understand it, completely, what He's doing, but we just know that He is.
